# Network Overview

The network overview is a quick stop to look through the BSSIDs the device connected to during the test. The 'subnets' can be expanded for each SSID to show some key details for each AP

The Wi-Fi comparison shows some high level statistics which, again, are useful for identifying if the network overall is performing as expected.

* The AP with the longest and shortest duration are identified to help understand where most of the time is spent during roaming
* The highest and lowest signal APs are show to help discover if an AP is weaker than is should be
* The Signal Power Distribution is a histogram which identifies whether the network, on the whole, was within the desired design thresholds for signal power
* The secondary power distribution is an estimate of the neighbours power histogram and identifies whether there is healthy secondary coverage - particularly needed for good voice roaming

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://numerous-networks.gitbook.io/noversight-docs/noversight-tutorial/noversight-macos-analysis/noversight-wi-fi-analysis/analysis-views-bottom-half/network-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
